Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Banner Elk, North Carolina is pleased to sponsor a May, 2025 trip to the Holy Land!

 

We are located in mountains we affectionately call "the High Country." We believe this is a great way to think of our trip--a "High Country Pilgrimage." (Maybe a little ironic... considering we will be at the lowest place on the face of the earth when we visit the Dead Sea!)

It's the "pilgrimage" designation, however, that makes this so unique. A pilgrim is often defined as one who journeys to another place as an act of religious devotion. 

Debbie and I are so excited to share this experience with our dear brothers and sisters in Christ! We can’t think of a better way to describe our thoughts about a trip to Israel than to call it a pilgrimage.

On three previous journeys, the Lord literally made the Bible come alive as we walked the land where the Patriarchs roamed… where Biblical kings ruled and prophets proclaimed God’s truth… and, where “the Word became flesh and made His dwelling place among us.” (John 1:14)

 

We will visit places you have only known on the pages of Scripture and you will never read your Bible the same after having walked these paths.
