Registration

All participants must register with Emmaus.

To register with Emmaus click on the

Application tab at the top of the webpage.  

 

*Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and

accompanied by an adult if under age 18.*

 

I am Sunya Notley, Emmaus Educational Services International Administrator for the 2023 excavation opportunity at Tel el-Araj in Israel. It is my responsibility to coordinate all the international details of your trip. In order to effectively administer the trip I will need your cooperation. I will be in contact with you by email requesting specific information from you. Thank you in advance for your timely cooperation when you receive one of my emails.

PROTOCOLS TO ENTER ISRAEL

Israel requires proof of insurance that covers all illnesses while in Israel.  

(See Insurance link in General Information tab.)

*Please note that Israel may change entry protocols, as determined by the Ministry of Health. 

#1 PRIORITY: EMMAUS APPLICATION  

Each individual participant is required to complete the Emmaus online Application. Complete your Application even if you don't have a Passport at this time. You may supply your Passport information at a later date. 

 

#2 PRIORITY: VALID PASSPORT  

If you do not have a passport for travel or if your passport expires before Feb. 10, 2024 (Session 1) or May 10, 2024 (Session 2) you can find assistance by going to the Passport and Visa tab above.

 

#3 PRIORITY: PASSPORT DOCUMENTATION You are required to supply Emmaus a color copy of the picture-page of your passport. Your copy will be used to help verify travel documents and any visa requirements. See the Passport and Visa tab above for more information.

 

#4 PRIORITY: DEPOSIT and PAYMENTS  

First you must complete and submit the online Application.  Once you have completed the online Application, please mail your $300 deposit check to Emmaus. See the Payment Schedule link for additional payment information.

 

ALLIANCE UNIVERSITY, ATS STUDENTS
 

Academic credit is available. If you are an active student at Alliance University you must register both with the GSL office and with Emmaus. Please contact the GSL office for additional assistance:

To register with Emmaus, begin the application process by clicking the Application tab at the top of this page. As an active registered AU student, you are to make all payments to Student Financial Services. Do not pay Emmaus. 

 

STUDENTS FROM OTHER INSTITUTIONS SEEKING ACADEMIC CREDIT FOR TRANSFER
Students from other institutions are welcome to join this excavation opportunity. If you desire academic credit, it is your responsibility to determine if your institution will grant you a transfer of academic credit from Alliance University for participation. As a participant, you are to register with Emmaus and all payments are to be made to Emmaus. To register with Emmaus, begin the application process by clicking the Application tab at the top of this page. Inform Emmaus by separate email that you wish a transfer of credit. You will be given additional instructions regarding credit and fees. 

 

NON-STUDENT PARTICIPANTS FROM THE USA and CANADA 
All USA and Canada non-student participants are to register with Emmaus (not Alliance University) and all payments are to be made to Emmaus. To register with Emmaus, begin the application process by clicking the Application tab at the top of this page. 

HONG KONG PARTICIPANTS
Hong Kong participants are to register with HaDavar Yeshiva (not Alliance University and not Emmaus). To register please contact your Hong Kong administrator, Zachary Wong for payments and other trip details.
